For the family growing up
A digital family album everyone can add to
Family photos end up scattered across a dozen phones, group chats, and shoeboxes. A digital family album from Afterlife Album brings them together with the stories behind them and the voices of the people in them, so your kids can someday hear how it really happened.

What is a digital family album?
A digital family album is an online collection of photos and memories that several people can contribute to. Unlike a camera roll, it is organized around people and stories, not just dates. Unlike social media, it is private and made for your family rather than an audience.
It works well for families with young kids, for parents who want to capture their own childhood stories, and for relatives who live far apart.
What to include
- Milestones: first days of school, birthdays, moves, new jobs.
- Everyday moments that never make it into the frame: Saturday pancakes, the drive to practice, bedtime stories.
- Stories from parents and grandparents about when they were young.
- Voice recordings: a toddler’s first sentences, a grandparent singing, a parent explaining a family recipe.
- Answers to questions your kids may ask someday: how you met, what you were afraid of, what you hoped for them.
How Afterlife Album works
You set up the album and add a few photos or memories. Then you invite the family members you choose. They sign in with a short code sent to their email, with no app or password to remember, and can type a few lines or press record.
Guided questions help people who don’t know where to start. One album is $79. The 4-album package is $249, which many families use to give an album to each grandparent or each child.
Tips for keeping it going
- Pick one question a week and send it to the family.
- Record voices, not just photos. A voice brings a memory back in a way a picture can’t.
- Let kids add their own drawings and stories.
- Use our guides, like questions to ask your grandparents, to start conversations at the dinner table.
Common questions
Who can add to a digital family album?
Anyone you invite. Each person signs in with a short code sent to their email and can add photos, writing, or voice recordings.
Is it hard for grandparents to use?
We built it to be simple: no app to install and no password to remember. If they’d like help getting started, call or email us.
Is our family album private?
Yes. Albums are private by default, and you choose who is invited.
Can I make albums for more than one person?
Yes. The 4-album package is $249 and gives you four separate albums.
What’s the difference between this and a shared photo folder?
A shared folder holds files. An Afterlife Album is built around people and stories, with guided questions and voice recordings alongside the photos.
